If you are doing a search for treasure hunt games, odds are that you are looking for one of two different things. First, you could be looking for online games with a treasure hunt theme. Or, you could be looking for treasure hunt games that are similar to a real life scavenger hunt. So which treasure hunt game are you looking for?

Treasure Hunt Games Online

There are a lot of different treasure hunting games online, but I have yet to find a specific website that is dedicated to that particular theme. There are a wide variety of different treasure hunting games that I have found. Many of them seem to be a type of game similar to Bejeweled. There are also puzzle games, I-Spy games, and some really off the wall games, like finding pineapple flavored Lifesavers.

In addition to there be a wide variety of games, there is also a wide quality in the games. Some of them are pretty well thought out, designed, and built. Others are not so well done.

Most of these games require a common web browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox. They also require a software that plays the game, such as Adobe Shockwave Player. I don’t recommend installing the game if it requires a browser add-on, but that is up to you.

Treasure Hunt – A Bejeweled type game

Treasure Hunt – Combine things to move through levels

Treasure Hunt – Another Bejeweled type game

Pineapple Treasure Hunt – 2d scrolling game hunting for candy

Hide & Secret – An I-Spy game finding hidden items

Treasure Hunt – 2d game similar to Mega Man

Treasure Hunt Games – Scavenger Hunt

There are also treasure hunt games that are similar to real-life scavenger games. These are great for parties and come in a wide variety of different variations. The majority of them start the players off with a clue, which leads them on a search for the next clue, and so on, until the player finds the “treasure” at the end.

There is also a version of the game where you can pit two or more teams of people against each other. These teams have different clues that lead them through a different hunt, but they all end at the same location and treasure. The first team to get to the end wins.

Some of the common recommendations are keeping a list for yourself where all the clues are located. You can also give the players clues that relate to them. If it is a family treasure hunt, then give them clues like, “The next clue is located where dad keeps his favorite pair of shoes.”

Other Treasure Hunt Games

There are other types of treasure hunt games. I’ve seen DVDs on the subject, video games and computer games, card games, board games, and scavenger hunt box sets. When you are searching for these types of games online, you’re going to get a lot of mixed results. I haven’t seen too many websites that specialize in treasure hunt flash games, but there are a few websites that specialize in real life scavenger hunt versions of treasure hunt games. Either way, you will have to do a little searching to find exactly what you want.

Do you want to play free Spiderman online games? There are a lot of people that do. Spiderman is one of the most beloved comic book superheroes of all time. With countless comic book series, television shows, movies, games, toys, and other items, Spiderman is arguably one of the most popular, if not THE most popular, superhero ever. In addition to being one of the most popular superheroes ever, Spiderman is also one of the most commercially successful superheroes ever. He is Marvel’s flagship character and company mascot.

The character first appeared in the August 1962 issue of Amazing Fantasy #15 which was created by writer-editor Stan Lee and writer-artist Steve Ditko. The character was created as an orphan who was raised by his Aunt May and Uncle Ben. Peter Parker struggled with all of the normal issues that an adolescent of his age would suffer through. But his superhero persona had super strength and agility, the ability to cling to almost all surfaces, danger sensing “spider-sense”, and the ability to shoot spider-webs from his hands.

Throughout the character’s history, he has been affiliated with many different teams, including the Daily Bugle, Front Line, New Fantastic Four, Avengers, New Avengers, and the Future Foundation. He has also had many partnerships with other famous superheroes (and some villains) including Ms. Marvel, Iron Man, Toxin, Punisher, Black Cat, Daredevil, Human Torch, Wolverine, Scarlet Spider, and Venom. He has faced such supervillains as Sandman, Mysterio, the Green Goblin, Carnage, the Kingpin, Rhino, Juggernaut, the Shocker, the Chameleon, Kraven the Hunter, Vulture, Dr. Octopus, Electro, Lizard, and the Scorpion.

Spiderman did not possess any superpowers that were very original or things that hadn’t already been done in the comic book industry at that point What was original was his nerdy high school teenager persona. Most teenagers at this point in comic book history were relegated to the status of sidekick. But Spiderman was far from that. He was a new type of superhero that had all the insecurities, anxieties, and problems that a normal teenager would, but also had the power of a full-fledged superhero.

For anyone looking to play free Spiderman online games, simply type the phrase into any web browser. You should be able to find a host of free flash Spiderman games. Here is a small list of some of the websites that you will find:

Spiderman Games Land

Online Spiderman Games

Play Spiderman Games

Invalid Mob – Spiderman Flash Games

Gametion – Spiderman Games

Spiderman Games Online

If you are looking to play Spiderman console game online, the two main platforms you will want to try out are Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network.

Two of the best game series are the Marvel vs. Capcom series (1, 2, & 3). They are great player vs. player games, can be played online, and have Spiderman as a playable character. Marvel: Ultimate Alliance (1 & 2) is the second series. They are both great co-op multiplayer RPGs. So if you want to play with your buddy online and not against them, give those two games a try.

There are tons of other single player games that aren’t online as well. If you have a PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS, Nintendo 3DS, Sony PSP, PC or Mac, you can give some of the single player Spiderman games a shot. Spider-Man: Shattered Dimension, Spider-Man: Web of Shadows, Spider-Man 3, and Spider-Man: Friend of Foe are some of the more recently released and better titles.

In the end, Spiderman is a great superhero. He is extremely popular and it should be very easy to find all types of games with him as a playable character. The biggest problem might actually be deciding on which one you want to play!

Many students and workers like to access games and social websites while they are at school or work. One of the problems that they run into though is game sites or social networking sites being blocked by network firewalls. These firewalls will make the websites that a student or worker is attempting to go to completely inaccessible from their school or work. So how does a student or employee go about finding unblocked games or accessing a blocked website?

First, what are unblocked games and websites? Unblocked games and websites are web pages on the internet that are not blocked by a school or workplace firewall. These sites can be accessed by the internet while you are at school or work. Typically, a site will be blocked if it is a popular site that the school or place of business deems unnecessary to access. And even if a site has been available on that network for a while it doesn’t mean it will always be unblocked in the future. A network administrator can block any website very easily by simply adding it to their list of blocked sites on their network. Once a site is blocked, they typically will not unblock it.

Why are game websites and social websites blocked by schools or workplaces? There are a variety of reasons. Primarily these sites are blocked because the school or business does not want their students or employees accessing them because they reduce productivity. Students may spend too much time playing games and not doing schoolwork, or employees spend too much time on social networking sites and not doing work. In addition to low productivity, surfing the internet or playing on unblocked game websites can lead to viruses or other network problems that schools and businesses just don’t want to have to deal with.

One way to access unblocked games while at school or work is to simply surf the internet until you find a website that isn’t blocked by the firewall. This can sometimes be a temporary solution though, since a competent network administrator will notice increased traffic to these sites after a while and may put them on the banned website list. This forces the user to find another website which starts the search all over again. As stated earlier, once a website is blocked it will rarely become unblocked.

Another way to get around the firewall is to use a paid proxy service. Using a paid proxy service typically costs around $5 a month on average. A user can then use this proxy server, instead of the one at their school or workplace, to access the internet. This approach typically requires the user to change several simple settings inside their computer’s browser. However, some networks will have this feature locked down inside the browser, hence making this not an option. So before paying money for a paid proxy service, make sure to check and see if these settings are accessible on your school or work computer.

Even if you don’t know what a proxy server is, you can still use the option of a paid proxy service. These websites will typically have instructions on how to use their services. Changing the proxy server in a browser is very simple and can be accomplished in just a minute or two. If successful, users then will then be able to play all of the unblocked games online that they want. They can even use websites like Facebook or Twitter that have been blocked by their school or work firewall.

Always be aware that most schools and workplaces will continue to improve their firewalls and block websites that they see as receiving unnecessary traffic on their network. Students and workers will need to constantly look for new unblocked games at school and work or be forced to use an outside proxy service to get around these firewalls. Of course, there is always the option of doing your school work or job, but who wants to do that?

Ever since Fable 2 was released on the Xbox 360, there has been a lot of speculation by fans about when the game would be ported to the PC. But with the release of Fable 3 this year for both the Xbox 360 and for the PC, it leaves people speculating even more. Will there be a Fable 2 PC version?

When the original Fable game first came out, it did not have a PC version. Eventually though, the game was expanded and moved across to the PC platform. The game was extremely successful and Lionhead Studios moved forward with creating Fable 2. It too was successful, but at the time there were no plans to create the game for a new platform other than what it was released on. In 2010, the third Fable game was released on Xbox 360 in October of that year. The Fable 3 PC version was set for a May 17th, 2011 release. Does this mean that fans will not ever see Fable 2 on PC?

In 2009, Lionhead stated that the success of Fable 2 made the eventual port of the game to another platform imminent. But a member from the Lionhead development team indicated that Lionhead was not working on a port for the second game of the series. Even though there seemed to be incredible demand for the product, it seemed like the studio was moving forward without actually working on the PC port.

This wouldn’t be the first time that a game series has abandoned the PC format mid-series. Gears of War was also moved from its original platform to the PC after release. With the release of Gears of War 2, fans expected the same process to take place. But it never did and Epic confirmed that it wasn’t planning to do a port of the game to PC, ever.

This has left me and many other fans to conclude that if the developer hasn’t come out with a PC version of Fable 2 yet, it probably isn’t going to happen. Fable 3 has been out on the market for many months on Xbox 360 and the PC version for the third game in the series is due out in the middle of this year. There probably isn’t much interest by the developer to go back in the series when they could continue to focus on the next release of the best RPGs ever.

One of the things I wanted to talk about was good RPG games for pen and paper roleplayers. In the past, I’ve talked about both good RPG PC games and good RPG online games. But, I’ve played pen and paper roleplaying games for a long time and I know a lot about them, probably more than I know about the best PC RPG games or best console RPG games. So, here is a list of some good RPG games for pen and paper roleplayers.

Dungeons & Dragons 4th Edition – Despite all the negativity from old-school nostalgic players, D&D 4th Edition is a great roleplaying game, especially for new gamers just getting into the hobby. It is the longest running and most popular fantasy RPG ever. D&D 4e dominates the roleplaying market share right now. They’ve mixed elements from classic roleplaying with elements from good MMORPG games to create a great roleplaying game. D&D 4e is widely considered to be the best RPG game out right now.

Shadowrun 4th Edition – Even though this game has a system that can be difficult to play sometimes, the world of Shadowrun is fantastic. You can play a human, elf, dwarf, ork, or troll in a world of magic and cyberware. Corporate espionage abounds and magic flows through the world in both positive and negative ways. Shadowrun is where magic and cyberpunk meet in the years 2050+.

Star Wars Saga Edition – SWSE is definitely one of the good RPG games available out there right now. It is the most recent incarnation of the Star Wars universe in a roleplaying game. Saga Edition is based off of the D20 system with a few rule modifications to fit the Star Wars universe better. The game is a great combination of the most popular sci-fi setting ever with one of the most popular pen and paper gaming systems ever.

World of Darkness – World of Darkness is not specifically its own game, but more of a collection of good RPG games by White Wolf. Vampire, Werewolf, Mage, Changling, Wraith, and a host of other individual games make up the World of Darkness. In these games, the players get to play the types of characters that normal folks would consider to be their worst nightmares.

Call of Cthulhu – There is a host of systems and versions that call themselves a Call of Cthulhu game. Each one is a good example of a good RPG game. The overriding premise on all of them is that you take the place of mortal characters who often investigates strange and unusual occurrences. During those investigations, you often uncover aliens, monsters, or demons that you could never have imagined. These creates usually cause you to go crazy or kill you, thus ending the game! Sounds dumb, but man it is incredibly fun.

Rifts – Although the Palladium system is widely considered a clunky and archaic system, the actual world of Rifts is a spectacular setting that really contains everything but the kitchen sink. Futuristic cyborgs, aliens, magical creatures, magical spell casters, psychics, and many more unusual creatures makeup this world that is full of literally anything you could think of.

These are just a few good RPG games that for both new and experienced players to try out. I think for newer players that are used to playing good MMORPG games, Dungeons & Dragons 4th Edition is the easiest to start out with. But, there are definitely many more that I haven’t mentioned here. Savage Worlds has a great system overall. Pathfinder is really bringing something old, but new, to the gaming table. And there are a host of other smaller games and gaming companies bringing out great RPG games all the time.

What do you think are good RPG games for pen and paper roleplayers?
